How does the Overseas quick-change strap system work?
Each strap and the bracelet have release tabs on the underside of the end pieces. Press them, pull, and the strap comes off with no tools. The deployant clasp swaps between the rubber and leather straps the same way. This example includes the steel bracelet and both OEM straps, so you get all three configurations.
What movement is in the Overseas 4500V?
Calibre 5100, Vacheron's in-house automatic with a 60-hour power reserve and a 22k gold rotor engraved with a compass rose, visible through the sapphire back. It carries the Hallmark of Geneva, which certifies both finishing and timekeeping. Vacheron services it directly, and turnaround is typically longer than Rolex or Omega.
How does the Overseas compare to a Royal Oak 15500 or Nautilus 5711?
Same category, different personality. At 41mm and 11mm thick it wears slightly larger than the 15500 and thinner than most expect. It's the only one of the three that ships with three strap options, and the black dial version is less common on the pre-owned market than the blue.
